Earthly Trinity

Images of the Holy Family help us to see the beauty of the earthly trinity, Jesus, Joseph and Mary, not only as a model for family life but also as the perfect expression of humankind as created in the Image of God, namely as a community of love. After the fall, this original image was shattered, and we needed a Savior. Jesus, true God and true Man, became part of the human family and its sanctification became possible; devotion to the Holy Family helps to bring us into the unity of that love for which we were created.
